Kemplon Engineering, who has successfully met Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) world class standard as a Women’s Business Enterprise, is celebrating International Women’s Day this week!

WBENC is the largest third-party who certifies that the businesses is owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year in many countries across the globe. This day marked the courage, determination and achievements of women who have played vital roles throughout history.

IWD has been observed since 1900’s which was first organized by the German Socialist, Clara Zetkin, and over 100 delegates from 17 countries to promote world’s       gender equality. No single corporation, government, institution or women’s network is merely responsible for the celebration as many organizations announce a yearly IWD theme supporting their own agenda or cause. Nowadays, great improvements have been made as we have female prime ministers, presidents, astronauts, managers, business owners and women can now even work while having a family.

International Women’s Day theme for 2016 is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality”. This theme considers how to accelerate the 2030 agenda to ensure which position female’s empowerment at the middle of global sustainability can be achieved in the coming years. This will also focus on latest commitments of Women’s Step It Up initiative and also with other existing commitments regarding gender parity, women’s empowerment and also with women’s rights.

Kemplon believes that women can make a difference and together we have to take our part to make sure that the future for all women is bright, safe and rewarding.

Let’s make everyday International Women’s Day!
