High-end passengers get British butler-style service via Royal Caribbean’s “Royal Genies,” available for discerning travelers in the top suite categories.
Royal Caribbean, as one of the cruise industry’s big innovators, always seems to have something fun and exciting up its sleeve. This time around, they are kicking it up a notch in the luxury department, with the introduction of the Royal Suite Class, targeting the high-end cruise market.
The Royal Suite Class. Starting next year, three service grades will be introduced to sailings on ships Anthem of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas, applicable to particular groups of suite categories, with increasingly luxe benefits.
The Sea Class, for example, will be having top-of-the-line pillow top mattresses; dining access to the Coastal Kitchen – a restaurant exclusive to suites only – and bathroom amenities from signature brands Ferragamo, Hermes, and L’Occitane. The Sky Class will be entitled to the same posh dining, sleeping and bathroom amenities as well, on top of unlimited high-speed internet, complimentary entry to the Spa Thermal Room, access to the Suite Lounge and the Suite Sun Deck, and concierge services.
Then there’s the Star Class, which will be entitled to much of the perks above, plus bed and bath items from Frette, Duxiana dux mattresses, a Nespresso coffee machine, handcrafted cocktail service right in the suite, the Ultimate Beverage Package, in-suite movies and dining at specialty restaurants complements of Royal Caribbean, and more. If that’s not enough, daily gratuities are said to be inclusive too, and guests falling in the Star Class category can expect unparalleled service courtesy of the buzz-worthy “Royal Genie.”
