Scope of work:

Fabricate and weld custom lifting frame to fit engine room. Weld frames off the vessel. Assemble and bolt frames together after fabricated in the engine room. Block shafts and uncouple from gearboxes. Rig and lift engines/gearboxes from stringers, transfer engines to center line of engine room, split gear from engine, rotate blocks to remove crankshaft, camshaft, flywheel and housing. Transfer blocks and gears back to their locations and block up, until components return. Reinstall all components in reverse sequence. Remount gears and engines back on mounts. Preform alignment of propeller shafts and re-couple. Remove lifting frames from vessel when complete.

Customer’s Feedback:

Dear Jeff,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to commend you and your company on a job very well done. Having stated the job at the last minute when the other company failed to follow through on their commitment to do the job of rotating the engine blocks for the W-6 rebuild.
Your design far exceeded what the FDDA wanted and suggested in addition to lowering cost and saving time. Your cost including over time was over 50% lower than what another company quoted. In addition, scheduling with you was always very easy and prompt. Realignment of the engines was flawless and proven at sea trials.

I value Kemplon Engineering as one of my most important companies to complete the rebuild of the engines project, I could have not have done without your help. I look forward to working with you again and please fill free to use me as a reference any time
