The Norwegian Escape
Norwegian Escape is one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s Breakaway Class of ships and will be the largest in the line’s fleet. The 163,000-ton vessel can accommodate 4,200 passengers and will be sailing on a 7-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary departing from Miami starting in November, 2015.
Among its notable features are the biggest ropes course at sea with 99 challenging elements including Sky Rail, a heart-pounding zip over the ocean; a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed, 9-hole, rooftop mini golf course; the largest aqua park at sea including a tandem waterslide called Aqua Racer and four multi-story water slides; a dedicated Kids Aqua Park; interactions with iconic Nickelodeon characters like Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick Star; and a nursery dedicated to kids aged two and under.
Kids and adventurous travelers aren’t the only cruisers the folks of Norwegian are looking to delight. The ship will also have the first Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville at Sea, a 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, an oceanfront promenade a quarter-mile long, the line’s largest casino, plus specialty restaurants and designer boutiques.
